[Thur update below] During the primaries, Trump smeared Cruz’s wife and strongly suggested his father was involved in the assassination of Kennedy (PolitiFact gave this a “pants on fire”), and constantly called Cruz “Lyin’ Ted.” In return, Cruz identified Trump as “A narcissist at a level I don’t think this country has ever seen,” a “pathological liar” and “utterly amoral.” [Read more…]
Sanders’ Words Blast the Ghostly Bernie-Or-Busters
It’s a little confusing. The Bernie-or-Busters (BoBers) have gone bust. Bernie’s with Hillary, and they’re basically ghosts—no longer part of the real world. But as in Ghostbusters, they can still wreak havoc, and even threaten the world, thanks to their partners in crime flooding out of Trump’s “portal” in Cleveland.
Don’t get me wrong. Most Bernie supporters are terrific. But the BoBers have gone over to the darkside with Darth Nader. So who ya gonna call? [Read more…]

This piece was originally published in January under the pseudonym Anna Whitlock. It is among the most shared pieces of content about Hillary Clinton of the entire 2016 election. The writer has now come forward publicly: It is Karoli Kuns, managing editor of Crooks and Liars. The full article is here: I was a Hillary Hater until… If you’re in a hurry, at least read this:
I have a confession to make: In 2008, I was one of the most ardent Hillary Clinton haters on the planet. I was ferocious about how much I didn’t want her to win the primaries, and I rejoiced the day she gave her concession speech.
It was not until President Obama nominated Hillary Clinton as his Secretary of State that my attitude began to soften, and it’s here I want to begin. [Read more…]

|Teasr was here.|On Terror: Totally Sure. Completely Confused. And Dangerous!
Trump speaks kindly of dictators, communist and fascist — Putin, Gaddafi, Assad, Kim Un and Saddam Hussein. But he’s seems to be using Hussein to advocate policy for America, how we should fight terrorism. Does he even know what he’s talking about? And does America really need to learn from Saddam? Could Bush and the Republicans have been that wrong?
“He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn’t read them the rights. They didn’t talk. They were terrorists. Over. [July 5]” He didn’t mention a single terrorist group who lost even one terrorist to Hussein. There weren’t any. Al Qaeda was not in Iraq and and ISIS did not exist. Here’s the scoop. [Read more…]

|Teasr was here.|Why I’m Voting FOR Clinton, not Just Against Trump
I’m very glad to be voting for Hillary Clinton and not just against Donald Trump. She has a vision for this country that’s backed up by well thought-out, specific plans to make our economy and government fairer. Her ambitious and popular policy agenda covers education, health care, environmental issues, and jobs. Clinton is for gun control, equal pay for women, and the Paris climate-change agreement. (Yes, she believes in global warming!)
A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for all these good policies.
A friend and Clinton supporter just told me she didn’t know how to answer people who asked “What would Clinton actually do as president?” Of course [Read more…]

|Teasr was here.|Bernie’s Smart. So What’s He Up To? Blackmail?
Bernie’s a hyper-smart political strategist. So he knows (and says) Trump would be an “unmitigated disaster.” And he knows that lots of his supporters (22% according to Bloomberg) are planning to vote for Trump, even though Bernie says “I will do everything in my power and work as hard as I can to make sure that [Trump] does not happen” (April 7). Still Bernie will not say to his supporters “Don’t vote for Trump, vote for Hillary.”
There’s something weird about Mr. Speak-the-Truth not speaking a truth he feels so strongly about. What’s he up to? [Read more…]

|Teasr was here.|Sanders’ Next Step: Undo the Damage
“I am pretty good in arithmetic,” Sanders said on June 7th, “and I know that the fight in front of us is a very, very steep fight.” He’s no quitter, and after another two weeks of fighting a very, very steep battle of arithmetic, today he announced his answer. “It doesn’t appear that I’m gonna be the nominee.”
I guess he checked wikipedia, subtracted 12.7 million from 16.5 million popular votes and figured he was a bit short, seeing no more primaries before the convention. So maybe it’s time he started helping the Democrats instead of the Republicans? [Read more…]

|Teasr was here.|Can the GOP Dump Trump with Superdelegates?
Update June 21, 2016. The chance of a “Trump Dump” tripled in the last week, from 5% to 15%. Here’s how. Kendal Unruh, a Colorado Republican delegate on the Rules Committee, has a plan to turn all their delegates into Superdelegates. She agrees with Bernie Sanders: “the responsibility the superdelegates have is to decide what is best for this country and what is best for the Democratic [Republican] Party.” But she applies that to ALL delegates. So Unruh wants a new rule, [Read more…]

|Teasr was here.|Hillary Nails It — Gains Momentum on June 7
Prior to June 7, Hillary had won 28% more popular votes than Bernie. On June 7, she won 33% more than Bernie.* She’s now ahead of him by more than 3.5 million (and this counts all the popular votes in all the caucus states.)
She has only won 21% more elected delegates than Bernie, because the caucuses are stacked against her. They suppress 75% of the voters than would vote in a primary, and these [Read more…]

|Teasr was here.|She’s Won, but Needs Your Vote Just as Much!
Hillary Clinton June 7, 2008 |
June 7, 2016. “In 2008 after Hillary lost North Carolina [back on May 6], she made it clear that our days of attacking Obama were behind us and that we were not to do anything that would make it more difficult for Obama to win a general election.” — Geoff Garin of Clinton’s 2008 campaign team.
Unfortunately, this year’s runner up, has announced he will continue attacking her till the convention, in spite of having no real chance. That’s why Hillary still needs your vote.
Exactly eight years ago, on June 7, 2008, [Read more…]
