It was obvious. I predicted before the debate that the Rs would go after Hillary not Bernie. In the main debate it was 16 jabs at Hillary to zero at Bernie. No use attacking the guy you want to run against.
The surprise was that Carly Fiorina won both debates and then wiped the floor with liberal commentator Chris Mathews. Wish I didn’t have to say that. I can’t stand Carly. She wrecked HP, the once-great company my Dad worked for (as head of advanced research and development). But that’s another story.
Carly will be either the Rs’ presidential or VP candidate. And she will be dangerous. She sees herself as Margaret Thatcher and she’s right.

Good question! Hillary and Bernie would make a nice ticket, except that Bernie’s a socialist and that will cost him 30% of the Democratic vote, not to mention independents.
So if we don’t want the GOP controlling all three branches of government, Hillary will need a dark-horse VP. Perhaps Stephen Colbert has the right idea: “Every night before I go to bed, I light a candle and pray that Trump stays in the race and I also pray that no one puts that candle anywhere near his hair.”

Thanks so much for sorting all this out, Steve, and saving us the headache of actually having to follow this for endless months. So, OK, let’s skip ahead. Who’s gonna run with Hillary, and how will they stack up against Jeb and Carly?
