The Paris climate summit is the sequel to the Copenhagen climate conference. But perhaps more dangerous, because the UN learned from past mistakes and this time it has coopted and snookered the environmentalists. They’re now cheering for an agreement that even OPEC loves. We’ve read the EU and UN reports on the Paris pledges and here’s how they get their phony optimistic answers.
- They over-estimate how bad things would have been.
- They ignore the extent to which pledges will not be kept.
- They count pledges like: “I’ll do something if you pay for it.”
Yes, the pledges look better than the 5 Gt / year burst of CO2 emissions from China a few years back. That was like adding another US to world CO2 emissions. But China had to cut back because it was kill 1.6 million a year with air pollution. Read the full story here: Paris Climate Summit.

Loved your site for years. Do you still do the Newsletter that is advertised on every page? Because if you do, you should know that no one can sign up for it because the sign up form is broken.
Instead of a sign-up form an error message is displayed:
“This MailChimp shortcode is now deprecated. Please insert the new shortcode to display this form.”
